U.S. General Services Administration Issues Request for Proposal for Entity Identification and Validation Services




Washington, DC - - (August 31, 2018) - - The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has released a Request for Proposal (RFP) for governmentwide entity validation services. All proposals are due back to GSA by 5:00 p.m. EDT on Monday, October 1, 2018.

This procurement is for entity validation services to protect the integrity of taxpayer dollars throughout the federal award process. Prior to entering into a business relationship with the government, the identity of each entity wishing to do business with or receive assistance from the government must be validated. Currently, these services are provided by Dun and Bradstreet (D&B), whose contract with GSA expires in 2018. This procurement will ensure individual agencies don’t have to separately contract for entity validation services but will instead receive the service by way of SAM.gov.

GSA released two Requests for Information (RFIs) to gather feedback from industry and other stakeholder organizations regarding the future structure of entity identification and validation services. Both RFIs received numerous responses from government agencies, industry, and other stakeholders.

The RFP is posted on FBO and proposals are due by 5:00 p.m. EDT on Monday, October 1, 2018. GSA will be releasing a pre-proposal webinar on Monday, September 10, 2018. GSA will take questions submitted in writing from interested vendors through 5:00 pm EDT on Wednesday, September 19, 2018. All RFP-related questions should be submitted to: [email protected].

GSA will provide answers to the written questions received via solicitation amendments. Solicitation amendments will be posted on FedBizOpps.
