The ABA is a diverse organization. Not all of its objectives are universally shared. But lawyers should be united in the goal of “advancing the rule of law throughout the United States and around the world.” There is a story about two police officers who pull over a car for a traffic stop. One officer walks to the driver’s side while his partner stands behind the car.
