    Jamaica and the United States of America held their first Strategic Dialogue virtually on December 3, 2020. The two countries focused on their shared commitment to build upon their strong bilateral ties with emphasis on their economic, political, technical and security cooperation. In this spirit, the two countries agree to adopt this joint statement and to hold an annual high-level strategic dialogue to advance their shared interests in security, prosperity and democracy in the Western Hemisphere.

    (January 16, 2020) - - The Office of the Spokesperson of the United States Department of State provided (today) the following information: Today, Assistant Secretary for International Security and Nonproliferation Dr. Christopher A. Ford, who has been delegated the authorities and functions of the Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security, led a U.S. interagency delegation to Vienna, Austria, to participate in a U.S.-Russia Strategic Security Dialogue. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov led the Russian delegation. The Strategic Security Dialogue last took place on July 17, 2019, in Geneva, Switzerland, led by former Deputy Secretary John Sullivan.     Washington, DC - - (October 29, 2018) - - Today the U.S. Department of State's Office of the Spokesperson published the following information:

    The United States and Japan will hold a session of the Extended Deterrence Dialogue (EDD) on October 29-31 in Tokyo, Japan. The EDD provides an opportunity for the two governments to frankly exchange views on how to maintain and strengthen deterrence as part of their security and defense cooperation. Under the framework of extended deterrence, the U.S. security commitment to Japan remains ironclad and enduring. The two governments engage in broad and ongoing discussions on deterrence issues within the U.S.-Japan Alliance, and have held the EDD on a regular basis since 2010.

    (May 31, 2018) - - The fourth meeting of the Argentina-United States Dialogue on Illicit Finance (AUDIF) was held on May 30-31, 2018 in Washington, D.C. The main objective of this initiative is to identify and share information on money laundering, terrorist financing, and other illicit finance threats and typologies. The AUDIF further serves as a forum to develop joint strategies and initiatives to combat these financial crimes and discuss issues of mutual interest.
