    (August 26, 2020} - - Today, August 26, 2020, the U.S. Department of Commerce published the following information:

    The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) in the Department of Commerce (Commerce) added 24 Chinese companies to the Entity List for their role in helping the Chinese military construct and militarize the internationally condemned artificial islands in the South China Sea. Despite protests from the United States and other countries, the government of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) has been rapidly building the artificial islands since 2013, enabling the Communist Chinese Party’s (CCP) militarization of disputed outposts in the South China Sea to undermine the sovereign rights of U.S. partners in the region.

    (October 29, 2018) - - Today, the U.S. Department of Commerce published the following information: Effective October 30, 2018, the Department of Commerce has taken action to restrict exports to Fujian Jinhua Integrated Circuit Company, Ltd. (Jinhua) by adding them to the Entity List (Supplement No. 4 to Part 744 of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)), because Jinhua poses a significant risk of becoming involved in activities that are contrary to the national security interests of the United States. Jinhua is nearing completion of substantial production capacity for dynamic random access memory (DRAM) integrated circuits. The additional production, in light of the likely U.S.-origin technology, threatens the long term economic viability of U.S. suppliers of these essential components of U.S. military system...

All proposals are due back to GSA by 5:00 p.m. EDT on Monday, October 1, 2018. This procurement is for entity validation services to protect the integrity of taxpayer dollars throughout the federal award process. Prior to entering into a business relationship with the government, the identity of each entity wishing to do business with or receive assistance from the government must be validated. Currently, these services are provided by Dun and Bradstreet (D&B), whose contract with GSA expires in 2018.
