    Jan. 26, 2021 - - Today the U.S. Census Bureau released the 2020 Census P.L. 94-171 geographic support products for California, Iowa, Indiana, Louisiana, Missouri, North Carolina, New York, Ohio and Oregon. These geographic products are provided to support redistricting efforts by state and local governments and contain newly created 2020 Census blocks and updated block groups, census tracts, voting districts, and current boundaries for legal governments and school districts referenced to Jan. 1, 2020.

    Geographic products are being released on a flow basis from Jan. 22-Feb. 28 for all states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. The following are also available:

    Atlanta, GA - - (March 28, 2017) - - The U.S. Small Business Administration is reminding businesses in North Carolina that working capital loans are still available to small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture and private nonprofit organizations affected by high winds, flooding and severe storms on July 16, 2016.

    “Businesses that suffered economic losses as a result of the disaster and want to apply for low-interest loans from the SBA are urged to do so before the April 26 deadline,” said Frank Skaggs, director of SBA Field Operations Center East.

    Low-interest disaster loans are available in the following counties: Chatham, Durham, Granville, Orange, Person and Wake in North Carolina.

    Durham, NC - - (January 25, 2017) - - The deadline for registering with FEMA has passed, but that does not mean FEMA is leaving. Much work remains to be done in North Carolina and FEMA continues working with North Carolina Emergency Management to help survivors and communities recover.

    Three disaster recovery centers are still open in Cumberland, Edgecombe and Robeson counties.

    If you have registered for assistance, FEMA encourages you to keep in touch to track your claim or to notify the agency of changes to your mailing or email addresses or phone numbers, and to report insurance settlements or additional damage you may have discovered since your home inspection.

    There are three ways to reach FEMA:
