Washington, DC - - (March 16, 2017) - - Today, Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price, M.D., released the following statement today after the release of the President’s budget blueprint. "HHS is dedicated to fulfilling our department’s mission to improve the health and well-being of the American people. This budget supports that mission and will help ensure we are delivering critical services to our fellow citizens in the most efficient and effective manner possible. Part of that support involves a robust commitment to preventing waste, fraud and abuse across the department, particularly within the Medicare and Medicaid programs. We want to be sure that beneficiaries, who rely on these programs, receive the highest level of quality, accessibility, and choices. U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price Committed to Greater Medicaid Flexibility for States

Washington, DC - - (March 10, 2017) - - Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price, M.D., issued the following statement today committing the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to using its regulatory authority to create greater flexibility in the Medicaid program for states. Statement from U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Price on President Trump’s Address to Congress

    (February 28, 2017)

Tonight, President Trump reassured the American people that help is on the way for those who are suffering as a result of the Affordable Care Act. The President called on Congress to repeal the law and replace it with reforms that will expand access to quality, affordable healthcare for all Americans. This message of relief and empowering Americans through patient-centered solutions stands in stark contrast to the defense of the status quo we unfortunately continue to hear from others. President Trump fully appreciates the dire state of our nation’s healthcare system as costs skyrocket and we see fewer choices. He understands that many Americans may have ‘coverage,’ but they don’t have care. As Secretary of HHS, I’m proud to work with President Trump and Congress to return healthcare decisions t

Jeremiah prophesied, "For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealest falsely" (Jeremiah 6:13) He continues, "They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace". (Jeremiah 6:14).

Of a truth, our world today seeks peace. We talk of peace, we write of peace, we pay for peace, and we even pray for peace. Yet, we seem to parallel the situation which existed in Jeremiah's day, for certainly we keep saying, "peace, peace," but there is no peace. Our homes are in turmoil, our streets are virtual battlefields and nations stand poised to destroy each other and the entire planet, all in pursuit of peace. The saddest and most poignant of all is the fact that
