    WASHINGTON DC – The U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS) will publish a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) that would increase financial transparency and democratic procedures for intermediate bodies under the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 (LMRDA), also known as the Landrum-Griffin Act. The NPRM proposes a return to OLMS' 2003 interpretation that mid-level public sector labor organizations, also known as intermediate bodies, are covered under the LMRDA if the intermediate body's national or international organization is also covered under the LMRDA.     WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Transportation today announced that it is seeking public comment on proposed amendments to its Air Carrier Access Act regulation on the accessibility of lavatories on single-aisle aircraft.

    The Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) on Accessible Lavatories on Single-Aisle Aircraft can be found HERE and provides the public with 60 days to comment on the proposed changes. Today’s NPRM is intended to improve the accessibility of single-aisle aircraft as single-aisle aircraft with seating capacity of 125 or more seats are increasingly being used by airlines for long-haul flights.     (September 21, 2018) - - The Federal Reserve Board on Friday requested public comment on a proposal to amend Regulation H (Membership of State Banking Institutions in the Federal Reserve System) and Regulation K (International Banking Operations) to repeal provisions that incorporate the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (S.A.F.E. Act). The proposal reflects the transferal of the Board's rulemaking authority for the S.A.F.E. Act to the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection (Bureau). Entities that were subject to the Board's rules are now subject to the Bureau's rules. The S.A.F.E. Act mandates a nationwide licensing and registration system for residential mortgage loan originators. The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act transferred rulemaking authority f...

All proposals are due back to GSA by 5:00 p.m. EDT on Monday, October 1, 2018. This procurement is for entity validation services to protect the integrity of taxpayer dollars throughout the federal award process. Prior to entering into a business relationship with the government, the identity of each entity wishing to do business with or receive assistance from the government must be validated. Currently, these services are provided by Dun and Bradstreet (D&B), whose contract with GSA expires in 2018.
