A summary of economic projections made by Federal Reserve Board members and Reserve Bank presidents for the meeting is also included as an addendum to these minutes. The minutes for each regularly scheduled meeting of the Committee ordinarily are made available three weeks after the day of the policy decision and subsequently are published in the Board's Annual Report. The descriptions of economic and financial conditions contained in these minutes and in the Summary of Economic Projections are based solely on the information that was available to the Committee at the time of the meeting.     WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) today released its November 2019 Air Travel Consumer Report (ATCR) on reporting marketing and operating air carrier data compiled for the month of September 2019. The full consumer report and other aviation consumer matters of interest to the public can be found at http://www.transportation.gov/airconsumer .

    September On-Time Performance In September 2019, reporting marketing carriers posted an on-time arrival rate of 84.1%, up from both the 77.6% on-time rate in August 2019 and from 81.9% in September 2018. For the first nine months of 2019, the reporting marketing carriers posted an on-time arrival rate of 78.1%, down from 78.7% for the same period in 2018.

    (October 17, 2018) - - The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) says warmth continued its steady march across the world last month, making for the fourth hottest September on record for the globe and the fourth warmest year to date, according to the latest analysis by scientists from NOAA’s National Centers for Environmental Information.

    According to NOAA, the 10 warmest September global land and ocean surface temperatures have occurred since 2003 with the last five Septembers (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018) ranking as the five warmest on record.
